Here at The Phoenix Partners, we are aiming to reach new heights for the 2010 Vantis Corporate Challenge – by climbing Mount Everest - without leaving the office.

Our greatest brains have done the calculations, so before we appeal to your better nature, here are the stats:

• The summit of Mount Everest is 29,029 feet, 8848 metres, or 5.49 miles above sea level.
• Our office stairs are 3.4 meters high so we need to climb them 2603 times.
• There are seven full time office staff and 61 working days in the challenge.
• Each of us needs to climb the equivalent of 1265 feet or 385.5 meters (officially a mountain each).

All of the money we raise will be shared between Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People and LOROS. Both our local hospices rely on donations for their work and every donation will make a difference.
